.. The Absolute Power 1000 is not very large, particularly for a kilowatt unit where we've seen much larger units, so there are no concerns about space issues inside your case...  Opening up the Absolute Power 1000, the main feature that is immediately noticeable is the dark-coloured 11-blade, 135mm fan which features greater airflow at reduced noise levels, and is controlled automatically to adjust the speeds according to the temperatures and load levels... Regarding the noise produced by the unit, as we know, the higher RPMs a fan speeds, the louder the noise, but then also the cooler the temperatures.  It is an ongoing balancing act between noise and cooling for just about any mechanical component in a system.  To that end, it seems that the Absolute Power 1000's fan tends to run at low-to-moderate RPMs and the fan is very quiet. When heavily loaded, however, the fan is audible but still quiet and won't be heard inside a case.
